Hi, I’m Simona, Menopause Counselling Psychologist and the Founder of Menopause CBT Clinic and Director of the Enable Wellness Consultancy, a psychological wellbeing therapies service.
I specialise in helping women work through the difficulties caused by menopause such as depression, poor sleep and negative thinking. I have expertise with treating the menopause using CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy) and Integrative Psychotherapy, and I hold professional registration and accreditation with a number of bodies.
These include: Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), British Psychological Society (BPS), British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have been working as a therapist for over 20 years and have experience in providing therapeutic services in a number of settings including organisational, Primary Care Mental Health Services, voluntary sector and private practice.
Besides carrying out clinical work I have also held senior operational management positions in NHS, overseeing the delivery of countywide Primary Care psychological therapy services and Psychological Wellbeing services for NHS staff and other organisations.

CBT for Menopause
My approach to helping women with problems due to menopause is based on a six-stage model, called EMBERS™ Menopause CBT Model, which is effective in treating the menopause symptoms, that I have developed based on my extensive personal experience working with hundreds of women going through this stage of life.
My approach towards treating the menopause helps women to learn strategies that can address the many psychological processes that become unbalanced during the menopausal transition. When each of these 6 areas of EMBERS™ are addressed, women are able to regain their emotional wellbeing, overcome their difficulties, and enjoy a more fulfilled life.
